"If I had influence with the good fairy…I should ask that her gift to each child in the world be a sense of wonder so indestructible that it would last throughout life…" Rachel Carson

What is a Charter School?

A charter school is an independent public school allowed freedom to be more innovative while being held accountable for improved student achievement. Charter schools foster meaningful partnerships between parents, teachers, and students to create an environment where parents can be more involved, teachers are encouraged to innovate, and students are provided the structure they need to learn.  In the charter school setting, all three of these parties are held accountable for student advancement.  Charter schools are tuition-free and open to anyone who wishes to enroll.  For more information, please visit the following website: http://www.publiccharters.org/get-the-facts/public-charter-schools/
